It's back to being cold again. And I know it's not the kind of cold that you might experience in Minnesota or Wisconsin, but regardless, to me it's uncomfortable. I can deal with Summer all day long, but the cold just makes me hurt.
Anyway, got up early to go to a shoot at the museum today. I love our museum here in Montgomery... it's free! We shot there all morning and then headed to the Civil Rights Memorial and then to the Capitol. It did warm up throughout the day though, so that was a plus when we began to shoot outside.
Tonight was spent watching Barack's infomercial and then editing photos for a project from 2 weeks ago.
Now I'm off to watch "That 70's Show", do a crossword puzzle and get some sleep.
By the way, I know I've been a bit behind in commenting on your photos and commenting back on all your lovely comments, but things have just been a bit crazy lately and I've been trying to make time to hang out with Tam and get some work done. I've been tracking you all on my phone though and am constantly inspired. Thanks for being a friend everyone!
Strobist info: Canon 430ex through an umbrella at camera left and an Alien Bees B800 bounced off of the ceiling for a slight fill.
Project 365 #191: 100711 Another First!
Astonishing! Hot on the heels of changing my mobile phone provider, today has seen another first. For the first time in my life I've walked out of a cinema halfway through a film because it has been so utterly boring!
It's hard to believe as I've sat through some real crap before now, including Cronenberg's 'Crash' and the quasi-porn 'Nine Songs'. The honour goes to Michael Bay though, for his third instalment of Tranformers. I knew I should be avoiding it, but the timing fell nicely and the reviews suggested it wasn't as bad as the second film.
Nevertheless, the abominable running time killed it off for me. The film was just reaching it's natural set piece finale and it still had an hour left to run. I didn't need to spend an hour watching CG robots destroy Chicago. So I bailed.
Fortunately, 'Green Lantern' which I watched beforehand was considerably better.
The photo is a good reason for carrying an SLR and polariser, but it's the movie poster outside the cinema with lots and lots of nasty reflections.
